Industrial Floor Fans
After purchasing a wall mounted oscillating fan
you will notice that because it is wall mounted it doesn’t have the 120 degree oscillation that you require. There
are some fans that have been made to provide you with this oscillation. They tend to be more expensive and the fan
will typically oscillate 90 degrees so if that feature is of the utmost importance to you checking with the
manufacturer before purchasing is a good idea.
Wall mounted oscillating fans come in many styles
and colors, there’s a commercial fan made from sturdy metal that has a metal grid to avoid injuries and designer
types made from plastic and have plastic fan blades that are see through or match the rest of the fan. The fans are offered in designer colors such as forest Green, Ivory, Nickel
or Chrome. You can also purchase them in Dark Blue, Grey, Aqua and in several different wrinkled paint finishes or
a white powder coat finish. You may choose a textured bronze finish also. With plastic being used fans can be
purchased in virtually any color.
Commercial oscillating fans often have a ratchet
setting with three positions so that the airflow can be directed in the room if the fan is mounted near a corner.
This is also why the fan has the ability of being locked into a position instead of oscillating.
Now many oscillating fans have a remote control
whereas earlier models did not.
Many people would rather have an oscillating fan
in the dining area instead of a ceiling fan because it won’t blow air directly down on your food making it cool too
quickly. Having a wall mounted fan also frees up space on the floor and doesn’t leave electrical cords lying
around.
Most wall mounted fans can be adjusted to angle
them down but many people have to adjust the fan to change the oscillating range from dead center to the right or
left position. Looking at the schematics for your find you will probably find a screw that allows you to make this
type of adjustment. After you loosen the screw you can move the fan right or left until there is a click heard then
you just tighten the screw again.
There is also a wall mounted oscillating fan for
indoor/outdoor use which are waterproof and UL certified for outdoor use.
